After my last post, about the places not to miss in Mallorca, it’s time to talk about the most beautiful and hidden beaches in Mallorca. Because let’s be honest – what you really want to do in Mallorca is to head to the beach and enjoy the sun. And hell yes, this popular Balearic island really has all kinds of great beaches and bays to offer.
Mallorca is more than just Palma and Party. So on my list of the most beautiful hidden beaches in Mallorca there are even a few places that have been spared from mass tourism. From secluded beaches, to hidden bays to Caribbean feelings – among the more than 100 beaches and bays in Mallorca, there really is a perfect beach for everyone.
A small note in advance: Unfortunately, some hidden beaches have only limited parking facilities and so it is often worthwhile to leave early for your perfect beach experience. Also often umbrellas are not available on the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca. So for shade lovers it is best to have a beach tent or an umbrella with you.

The most beautiful hidden beaches and coves in Mallorca – Table of Contents
1. Cala & Platja Sa Calobra
Sa Calobra is located on the northwestern coast of Mallorca, in the middle of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range. The best way to drive here is via the winding serpentine roads of the mountains. You’ll experience spectacular views during this journey already. Alternatively, you can also get to the bay by ferry. Once in the village, there are two of the prettiest beaches waiting for you. Jackpot, because both are really exceptionally beautiful!
The Platja de sa Calobra – the small village beach can be reached first when you leave for the village center from the parking lot. On the approximately 50m long beach there are some cute restaurants that mainly offer Mallorcan dishes.
The Platja de Torrent de Pareis is located between two impressive cliffs and you can only get here through a narrow, rock-carved path. It is located directly in the Torrent de Pareis gorge. During winter months a river flows directly into the sea here. Due to this unusual location, this beach has earned it’s place on the list of the most beautiful hidden beaches in Mallorca, even if it can get a bit crowded here in the summer months.

2. Cala Banyalbufar
There are no lonely beaches in Mallorca? Oh yes – there are! This extraordinary bay in the west of Mallorca is a real insider tip, but connected with a good walk. Especially the way back can get quite hard, since it goes exclusively uphill. Nevertheless, the beach is not only beautiful, but also deserted and that’s exactly what really stands out. Cala Banyalbufar really is one of the best hidden beaches in Mallorca for me. If you like it quiet and calm, this is the right place for you.
Unlike other bays, you can’t expect a classic sandy beach here, but a small harbour and cemented sunbathing areas. There is even a small waterfall to discover here and we were also able to see mountain goats. Apart from a few locals, we did not meet any human soul here. You want to experience one of the most beautiful and above all loneliest beaches in Mallorca? Then this is going to be the right place for you!
3. Platja de Santanyí
Admittedly, the actual beach of Santanyí is not my personal highlight. Although the beach with its fine sand and turquoise waters is one of the prettiest beaches in Mallorca, the place is a holiday resort, so it quickly gets crowded. But at the same time you’ll have all the amenities here, such as sun loungers, parking lots, lifeguards and restaurants nearby. If this is what you prefer, you can walk directly from the parking lot to the beach and enjoy the day on one of the best beaches in Mallorca.
The reason why I listed the Platja de Santanyi as one of the most beautiful hidden beaches in Mallorca, is located behind the actual beach. There is a small and really pretty bay. If you go to the right and make your way along the cliffs, you will reach this hidden treasure of Mallorca. The Mallorcan charm hits you immediately and the small bay is also a perfect background for great holiday photos. This is the main reason why you’ll find this secret bay more and more often in Instagram pictures.
4. Cala Llamp
Cala Llamp indeed is one of the most hidden beaches in Mallorca, because in search of the driveway we got lost several times. About two kilometers from Port d’Andratx in the southwest of Mallorca, you will find Cala Llamp. There is no real beach here, instead you’ll sunbath on smooth rocks or on the loungers of the beach club. But that’s exactly what makes Cala Llamp a really special address. Its sight is just so unique. Especially the pool, which is located in the middle of rocks, makes this bay one of the most beautiful hidden beaches in Mallorca.
By the way, the pool is only available to the guests of the beach club “Beach Club Gran Folie”, but since there is not much to discover except the view, a relaxing day in the club is really worth it. Even dolphins can be observed from the lounger. The cheapest lounger is available from 25 €.
However, the bay is unsuitable for non-swimmers. The many stones make it difficult to get into the water and it quickly gets deep.
P.: The photo was taken before the start of the beach club’s season, so no loungers were set up yet and the pool was empty. From the end of May, the beach club opens regularly.
5. Caló des Moro
In front of the Caló des Moro is a large parking lot. Then you’ll have to walk. At first, the road is still paved, but quickly you crawl over hill and dale. After a good 15 minutes walk you have reached one of the most beautiful secret beaches in Mallorca. And the view really makes up for all the hardships.
The beach belongs to a private organization and therefore is very well maintained. If you plan to stay all day, you should definitely have food with you, because there are no restaurants or hotels nearby. The bay is small and has only a very narrow strip of sand. Since there is not much space, it can get crowded quite quickly. So come early, when you plan a daytrip to this beautiful hidden bay. For me, the Caló des Moro is still one of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca and worth every recommendation. The view over the bay is absolutely stunning and the turquoise blue and crystal clear waters are similar to those of the Caribbean!
By the way, the area offers a lot of hidden hiking trails, so you can hike from one hidden bay to another secret beach. So maybe you will discover many more beautiful, hidden beaches on your own.
The most beautiful hidden beaches and bays in Mallorca – The conclusion
Even if Mallorca is a popular European holiday destination, great beaches can definitely be found here. From lonely beaches, to breathtaking bays – if that’s what you’re looking for, you will find paradise here. Especially if you are willing to hike and searching for unknown beaches, you can find real treasures on this very pretty Balearic island. Crystal clear water, white sandy beaches and a turquoise blue sea are not uncommon on this spanish isle. I can warmly recommend you to explore the most beautiful, hidden beaches in Mallorca, while renting a car. The roads are in good conditions and the fuel prices are in the European average.
